Between the drivers side door and dash, pull at the opening on the bottom of the side dash panel to pop it loose.
Remove screw #1 and place it in a safe location.
At the bottom left of the panel holding the dimmer & trunk switch housing you’ll find screw #2. It’s almost directly in front of the OBDII port. Remove and place in a safe location.
Now plug the 90 degree OBDII connector from the 86Nanny OBDII Harness into the OBDII port.
Locate the fuse panel on the left side of the floorboard directly across from the OBDII port. The fuse tap side of the 86Nanny OBDII Harness plugs into the empty fuse slot identified below. This slot is on the row of fuses closest to the drivers door.
Top of fuse must face towards the front of the car. If it’s towards the rear, your 86 Nanny will not get power.
Connect the 4-pin harness connector and the 5-pin switch connector into the 86Nanny. Secure the 86Nanny on the topside of the plate below with your mounting hardware of choice. We recommend you double strap if mounting with velcro straps or zip ties.
BE SURE TO ALIGN THE RED DOTS ON THE MALE & FEMALE SIDE OF THE CONNECTORS BEFORE LATCHING THE CONNECTORS. IF THE CONNECTOR REQUIRES EXCESSIVE FORCE TO LATCH, IT IS NOT ALIGNED PROPERLY AND YOU RISK BENDING THE PINS.
The switches can be installed wherever you prefer. Mounting locations will need 6mm holes for proper fitment.
